We are working alongside SWG3 to develop a new pocket of the city dedicated solely to street and graffiti art forms. Yardworks studio will provide a workshop for the creation of large-scale artworks along with flexible working spaces for artists as well as community & youth organisations. The design principles for the building is to create a new fit-for-purpose graffiti and street art hub space and to improve the relationship between the site and its surrounding context. The masterplan vision is structured around a number of key interventions for the wider SWG3 campus, which include; a workspace cluster, improving and rationalising the entry experience, production suite and gallery space. Whilst acting as discrete elements, the interventions will be greater than the sum of their parts and contribute to a comprehensive vision for the future of SWG3 as a hard-working and dynamic cultural destination.

It will also have a real impact within the local community, allowing us to continue our work with young people facing economic disadvantage, as well as working towards SWG3’s wider plans for regenerating the area.”
